Truant School
A school for self-authorship, a laboratory for intentional living
Welcome to the underground academy for people choosing their story on purpose.
The invisible curriculum
Most people spend their lives completing someone else's curriculum. They inherit goals, definitions of success, routines, ambitions, and assumptions without ever stopping to ask whether any of it belongs to them.

Here, our studies begin elsewhere.

  • Who are you, and why are you here?
  • What story would you live by?

These are not academic questions. They're questions for deliberate living.

Truant School exists for people who are attempting to live intentionally in a culture of distraction, conformity, and default living. It's a place for those who feel called toward something deeper than optimization, productivity hacks, or fitting neatly into prescribed paths.

We are not dropping out of life. We're dropping out of the invisible curriculum—the assumptions, scripts, expectations, and definitions of success we never consciously chose.

A truant, in the conventional sense, skips school. In this community, it's someone who skips the wrong things on purpose.
Our core credo
We believe in:

  • Self-authorship over default living.
  • Intention over drift.
  • Experimentation over certainty.
  • Curiosity over conformity.
  • Responsibility over resignation.
  • Meaningful action over endless preparation.

We're not avoiding work. We're refusing to spend our lives climbing the wrong ladder.
The operational infrastructure
Truant School is the community space surrounding the War Board Method.

It's where conversations continue between Sunday War Room sessions. It's where members share progress, wrestle with obstacles, exchange ideas, and support one another in the pursuit of lives they've consciously chosen.

Inside you'll find people working on questions such as:

  • What do I actually want?
  • What am I optimizing for?
  • What would a self-authored life look like?
  • What am I avoiding?
  • What deserves my attention?
  • What would it mean to stop drifting?

Members might be:

  • Building businesses,
  • Changing careers,
  • Pursuing creative work, or
  • Rebuilding their lives from the ground up.

All of them are engaged in the same project: becoming more intentional about the life they're living.
Rebellion in service of alignment
Truant School is not about rebellion for its own sake. It is rebellion in service of alignment.

We still believe in accountability, commitment, responsibility, and action. We still expect movement toward something meaningful.

The goal isn't to escape effort. It's to ensure that our effort serves a life we actually chose.
